Due to the abundance of marine life and the beautiful coral reefs surrounding Koh Phangan, our island has become a favorite dive destination for thousands of people.

Sail Rock

Located an hour north of Koh Phangan, Sail Rock is the main attraction for most divers and has been repeatedly named the best dive in the Gulf of Thailand.
Here you will have the highest chances of encountering the famous whalesharks but the dive site also offers an abundance of big and small marine life.
With a sloping structure and max depth of over 40m it is well suited for beginners and experienced divers alike.

A dive site definitely not to be missed.

Koh Ma

Koh Ma is our favourite local spot.
With big coral formations, it is home to many fusillier, barracuda, the occasional triggerfish and plenty more.
With a max depth of around 14m, it is perfect for beginners and also offers great underwater life for photographers.

Mae Haad Dive Site

Mae Haad

Mae Haad is located just south of Koh Ma and the reef system is directly connected to Koh Ma, making it possible to explore both dive sites on a single dive.

The reef ends around 5m depth and turns into a pristine sandy bottom, making it ideal to practice buoyancy skills, test new equipment and keep an eye out for the blue spotted stingrays we see here frequently.

Haad Salad

Haad Salad is a very protected cove, making it our usual go to when the visibility fails elsewhere.
The reef is dragging out wide and long, with rock cliffs left and right.
We really enjoy this dive site because it offers a lot of makro life, so grab your camera and look out for some amazing nudibranches.

Haad Yao

Haad Yao means “long beach” and the reef goes even further than this beach. So with over 800m of reef there is plenty of space to look for turtles and smaller tropical reef fish, such as bannerfish, anglefish, butterfly fish and many more.
Straight from the beach to about 7m depth, this is a great site for a relaxed and long dive.

Ko Kong

Ko Kong is one of Lukas’ favourite sites because it has amazing fan corals and the reef is pretty much untouched.
Just a short boat ride west of Srithanu lies this beatuiful island with a gently sloping reef.
Any coral nerd will find their heart beating faster at Ko Kong. It is also our favourtie site for the Coral Identification specialty.

Lighthouse Reef

Located even closer to Srithanu and jut a few minutes out with the boat we find the Lighthosue Reef.
With multiple bommies around the old lighthouse it is the perfect place to learn the Navigation Specialty and master the way of orienting.
All while exploring many of the tropical reef fish and nudibranches that can be found here.
Sometimes the current can mix things up, so this dive site is not always for beginners.

Koh Tae Nok

Koh Tae Nok is the furthest island just south of Thongsala and you probably saw it on the ferry while traveling here.
The Dive site is home to turtles and many other fish.
This dive site is part of our Net Clean Up project.
With over 3 tonnes of net already out of the water, we are very happy to dive this site and see it recover everyday.

If you would like to help us retrieve more ghost net from this dive site, then send us an email.

Koh Tae Nai

Koh Tae Nai is the closer island on the south of Thongsala and the home of our Coral Nursery.
Together with CoreSea and the DMCR, many Elkhorn corals have been planted here and we are helping the reef to recover.
Our ECO Diver programs and coral planting workshops are held here and we always need help planting more coral and observing the existing ones for growth, health and disease.

Chaloklum Bay

Chaloklum is a slow dropping sandy beach. This site is well protected against bad weather and because of it’s easy topography it is a great spot to practice skills and try new equipment configurations.
Because of the lack of marine life we solely use this spot as a training site.

Angthong Marine Park

Made up of 42 limestones islands, Angthong offers a number of caves, swim throughs, overhangs and sloping reefs. Angthong has incredible diversity of coral including abundant soft corals, barrel sponges and anemones as well several types of black corals and sea fans. Marine life here is equally diverse and you’ll find numerous species among the reef. In deeper sections you can spot large snappers, blue-spotted sting rays, schools of fusiliers and yellowtail barracuda.
